
| What to Know about Tuscany Tuscany is a region of central Italy, bordered by the Ligurian Sea to the west and south by the Tyrrhenian Sea. The capital is the culturally rich city of Florence, housing Michelangelo's masterpiece David and making it one of the most visited destinations by both Italian and foreigners. The territory is mostly hilly characterized by some important massifs (Monte Prado, Monte Pisanino, Corno alle Scale and the Monte Amiata volcano) and the presence of the Apennines.
